Hi there! I'm Jana... the owner and instructor of Empower Her Firearm Training. I have a long history with firearms as my father was in the military and always made sure that I knew the safety and handling of a firearm. In my more recent adult life, you might find me helping my husband with his shop selling ammunition and reloading components at our local gun shows. During the gun show off-season, you will find me spending weekends at the gun range, hiking with friends and our fluffy huskies, or just being outdoors and enjoying life!
I am a NRA-Certified Firearm Instructor specializing in basic pistol training (I do not currently offer lessons with rifles). I also hold an Range Safety Officer Certification. I feel that there is an importance of women feeling empowered by having the ability to protect themselves, but most importantly... learning the ins and outs of their firearm as well as firearm safety. Whether you are brand new to shooting, or you have a small amount of experience, or you just need a refresher... I'm here for you! I thrive on providing a supportive and non-intimidating teaching style to my students and would love nothing more than to help you get comfortable with your new or potentially upcoming purchase of a pistol!
